French Haveli — Haveli in Ahmedabad
The French Haveli, a restored heritage haveli is located in Ahmedabad. The City Centre is 1 km. The French Haveli is 150 years old.Its is a gracefully restored heritage hotel in the heart of Walled city of Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad-based builder, Rajiv Patel, who owns French Haveli in the walled city, is the man who started the cultural heritage restoration mission a decade ago.
The French Haveli previously known as Arts Reveri is renamed by the new owner commenting the Indo-French Project. The name is derived to commemorate the first of its kind ‘Indo-French project’ in India to ‘revitalize the Old City of Ahmedabad’. French architects restored this Haveli and lived here. Threee Foundation restored this century-old haveli.

French Haveli has five compact rooms, including Mahajan Suite. Agaashi, the terrace room, with two queen-size beds and en-suite bathroom (Malo and Chabutro rooms have bathrooms on the outside). Ordo Double bedroom is on 1st floor.Agaashi’s sun-kissed private balcony, lined with bougainvillea creepers.If affords a nice view of the pol’s Chabutra (the bird feeder), a 100 yrs old Jain temple.
After the beautiful entrance there is “jhula” which is feature of many Gujarati Homes. The is a big “tanka” built for storing rain water for summer months.
At French Haveli you will find a shared kitchen. Other facilities offered at the property include a shared lounge, a ticket service and luggage storage. Heritage tours can be arranged.
Haveli is 7 km from Gandhi Ashram and 8 km from Sardar Patel Stadium. The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is 15 km awayand the State Transport Bus Station are within 2 km.
